The idea of creating Little Lisbon was born within a local family that faced the same difficulties you will find while visiting a new city with kids. We witness an enormous cultural offer in the city and a gap while disclosing it to families visiting with children. We are strongly motivated to share more about Portuguese culture - our history, our heritage, our traditions and artistic expressions. Our goal is to disseminate and promote the immense cultural activities the city has to offer. Welcome!
Meet our team!
Hello! I am Mariana, born and raised in Lisbon and now mother of a gradeschooler boy and a preschooler girl who, like me, both love Lisbon and Portuguese history. I've graduated in Landscape Architecture and later in Tourism (tourist information and entertainment), both combined leading me to do what I enjoy the most: walking around the city and showing it to our visitors!
Hi, I am Maria! I was born and raised in Germany, where I graduated with a degree in Art History and Languages. In 2006 I moved to Lisbon and am almost a local by now. I am married to a Portuguese and we have a little daughter who was born in 2014. When I first came to Lisbon I fell in love with the city and the people and I have now been working as a tour guide in and around Lisbon for many years. I would love to show you and your children the Lisbon I fell in love with!
Hi, I am Cristina! I was born in Lisbon and I love my hometown. I am what you might call a true 'alfacinha', but quite a modern one too! I studied History, Journalism and Cultural Management and have been working in educational services with my favorite things: children, art and museums. What I enjoy the most is rediscovering the city and showing it to the youngest - playing while learning!
Hello, my name is Rita! I come from a small town in the north of Portugal and I have studied Landscape Architecture in Porto. I have been living in Lisbon since 2008 and I love it! My favorite hobbies are travelling and playing with children and I have worked as a babysitter and also planning and entertaining at kids' birthday parties. I was also a volunteer as a clown to cheer up hospitalized children and I am now studying Psychology.
Our Mission is to provide outstanding and distinguished experiences to children visiting Lisbon, through unique and genuine family experiences. We aim to promote Portuguese culture, particularly through the disclosure of our history, heritage, traditions and cultural expressions.
We seek for the strengthening of family ties, through family experiences that will create many positive memories to be shared.
