1. INTRODUCTION

 

  • Little Lisbon has received the Clean & Safe Establishment seal. We therefore assume compliance with the requirements defined by Turismo de Portugal, according to the guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health. 

  • By assuming the compliance with this requirements list, we hope to encourage the recovery of the tourism sector at a national and international level, reinforcing everyone's confidence in the destination Portugal and its tourist resources. 

  • This Protocol follows the guidelines of Turismo de Portugal for Tour Operator companies.

 

2.   PREVENTION PROCEDURES

2.1  INFORMATION

  • This Internal Protocol is made available for viewing by customers and partners at Little Lisbon’s website (www.lisbonforkids.com).

  • All members of the team received specific information and / or training on how to comply with the basic precautions for prevention and infection control in relation to the COVID-19 and are aware of this Protocol.

  • On each reservation, customers are informed (via website and email) of the existence and need for compliance with this Internal Protocol.

  • This Internal Protocol is made available in Portuguese and English.

 

2.2  HYGIENIZATION PLAN

  • Little Lisbon does not have its own physical facilities or its own vehicles.

  • All learning materials to be used during the activities (namely pencils, clipboards, miniatures, samples, etc.) will be disinfected with alcohol or wipes impregnated with an alcohol-based hygienic solution, and kept in a separate wrapper (single use paper bags).

  • Clothes and tote bags used during the activities by our team members will be washed at high temperatures (around 60 ºC).

  • Compliance with this internal hygiene and safety protocol will be ensured by any partners involved in our programs, namely transportation providers and other activities, when applicable.

 

2.3  TEAM MEMBERS

2.3.1  Training

  • Little Lisbon provided specific information to all its employees regarding:

  • This Internal Protocol.

  • Compliance with basic precautions for prevention and infection control in relation to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, including procedures for:

a) hand hygiene: wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer that has at least 70º of alcohol, covering all surfaces of the hands and rubbing them until they are dry.

b) respiratory label: cough or sneeze on the forearm or use a tissue, which must then be immediately thrown away; hand hygiene always after coughing or sneezing and after blowing; avoid touching the eyes, nose and mouth with your hands.

c) social conduct: changing the frequency and form of contact between team members and between them and customers, avoiding (when possible) close contact, handshaking, kissing, sharing food, utensils and glasses.

  • Compliance with daily self-monitoring to assess fever (measure body temperature twice a day, preferably with an infrared device) and check for cough or breathing difficulty.

  • Compliance with the guidelines of the national Directorate-General for Health regarding rules of social conduct, respiratory etiquette, hygiene and cleaning of equipment and materials and treatment of clothing (information disclosed and updated at https://covid19.min-saude.pt/).

2.3.2  Personal protective equipment

• Little Lisbon has and may provide personal protective equipment (namely certified masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizer) for all team members involved in the activities and for customers, if necessary, for each reservation / activity.

2.3.3  People in charge

• In case of suspected cases of infection in a customer, the guide will trigger the communication and alert procedures according to the guidelines of the national General Health Directorate (contact SNS24 808242424 and follow their instructions).

• The guide must inform the person responsible for organizing the activity (backoffice).

2.3.4  Conduct

• With customers, Little Lisbon team members (guides) will ensure to:

  • Maintain social distance, avoiding physical contact (including handshakes);

  • Comply with the respiratory label;

  • Use personal protective equipments as directed by the General Health Directorate;

  • Not share personal items.

 

2.4 FOR CUSTOMERS

 

2.4.1  Personal protective equipment 

• The use of masks outside is currently mandatory and it’s due to the responsibility of each customer;

• In closed spaces (visits to museums, entry to commercial establishments, use of public transport or others), the use of a mask is mandatory and it’s due to the responsibility of each customer.

• Little Lisbon has and may provide personal protective equipment (namely masks and alcohol-based hand sanitizers) for all team members involved in the activities and for customers, if necessary, thus ensuring the proper development of the activities.

2.4.2  Conduct

• In the course of activities, customers must respect the rule of physical distance between participants who do not belong to the same family group and in relation to the guide;

• In case of infection or presentation of symptoms, the client will not be able to register and participate in our activities.

 

2.5 FOR THE ORGANIZATION

 

• Little Lisbon and its employees will ensure:

  • The organization of groups and activities complying with the maximum number of participants in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health.

  • Maintaining the physical safety distance between the participants in the activities, in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health.

  • Maximum occupancy of the means of transport used in the activities (public or private transport), when applicable, in accordance with the recommendations of the Directorate-General for Health and in accordance with the safety rules defined in the Internal Protocol of each service provider.

  • Compliance with internal hygiene and safety protocols by the partners involved in the activities, when applicable.

  • Providing all necessary information on the security rules and recommendations contained in this Internal Protocol, within the registration / purchase process, through the website and via email.

3. PROCEDURES IN CASE OF SUSPECTED INFECTION

 

3.1  ACTION PLAN

 

• The guide will provide the suspect with the necessary assistance, away from the rest of the group, and contact the National Health Service (808242424).

• The guide will ensure the storage of the waste produced by the suspect in a plastic bag that, after being closed, must be segregated and sent to a licensed operator for the management of hospital waste with biological risk.
