Lisbon Airport
Portuguese airports' company (ANA), has recently launched a new service that intends to provide the best conditions for families travelling with children. It is called 'Family Airport' and is located at the Departures area, including exclusive spots equipped with many baby and children facilities.
Except where indicated, all services listed are free and available daily, 24/7, to passengers travelling with all airlines.
Family Area
There are facilities where you can prepare food, a microwave, bottle heater and vending machines featuring food and hygiene products, plus entertainment facilities for all ages and comfortable sofas for all the family.
It's located on the 5th floor of the public departures area, near to the check-in, handlers and airlines desks. It is also close to several shops, services and to a restaurant open from 07:00 to 20:00.
Play areas
Terminal 1 at Lisbon Airport has play areas that provide plenty of fun for kids and a break for parents. Please make sure your children are accompanied by an adult, because the play areas are not supervised. There is a play area in the Schengen area Transfers Hall, (before passport control), Floor 5, on the way to gates 7-13.
Facilities for babies
There are 14 in Terminal 1 and two in Terminal 2, both in the public and restricted areas. These reserved areas have sinks, nappy-changers and a bench. In the restricted departures area, near the Food court, there are baby facilities equipped with a comfortable private baby feeding area.
Baby changing station
There are 11 in Terminal 1 and two in Terminal 2, both in the public and restricted areas. They are also available in the ladies toilets and are properly signposted.
Pushchairs / strollers
With the comfort of your family in mind, and to enhance your passenger experience, a pushchair service is available for children up to age 3 or 15 kg. This will help you get round the airport and at the same time enables airlines and handlers to speed up check-in and boarding.
The pushchairs are available in two locations: immediately after the security/x-ray; next to gates 15 and 16.
Lockers
Next to gates 18 and 21 there are lockers for short-term storage and for completely safe storage of electrical equipment such as mobile phones or laptops.
Support Seats
There are 26 support seats for children in several male and female WC's, distributed throughout the terminal, both in the public and restricted areas.
